James Callins did an outstanding job training me for my law enforcement Physical Fitness Test (PFT). He coached me and trained me three days a week and gave me a custom workout to do on my own. He was available anytime I had a question or if I just needed advice. James was very professional throughout my training and most importantly he cared so much about my goal as if it was his own. I passed my PFT with flying colors thanks to James and I strongly recommend his services to anyone who has a fitness goal.

I have been training for the past four years without direction or final goal. I eventually fell into the mass bulking stage trying to put any weight I could on no matter if it was healthy weight. I used the weight to try to venture into the power lifting training. I have known James for a few years and he eventually convinced me that I was ready to compete. As an avid long distance runner and crossfit athlete, I always had an interest in competing in natural bodybuilding, I just didn’t know where to start. Luckily for me, Umo Callins, founder of 180Physique, was a coach at the Crossfit Box I attended. 180Physique offered an intro to natural bodybuilding seminar where they explained the federations, banned substances, competition prep, and answered questions. The seminar gave me the information I needed to pick a competition date and I began my journey with Umo and James Callins. Before working with 180Physique I was an “I workout so I can eat whatever I want” type. In my mind no matter what I ate, as long as I gave it my all at the gym, I was going to make improvements with my performance and my physique. Once I started the meal plan given to me by Umo, I learned differently. Five days into my meal plan I noticed changes in my body and my energy levels. That’s incredible! Eight weeks into my prep I took my yearly Air Force physical training test where I scored the highest possible score; a score I have been trying to attain for 5 years. 180Physique not only helped me with my personalized diet but also, all of my posing lessons. Because of 180Physique’s amazing guidance and support I was able to earn my IFPA Bikini Pro Card at my first competition! My journey does not end here with Umo and James Callins. A little background about me, during undergrad I did the typical calorie counting, weight lifting and long cardio workouts, not very consistently though. I started to run road races to keep myself more accountable with my workouts and continued trying to “eat right.”
I started Crossfit two years ago to supplement my running workouts. I met Umo and James through Crossfit and I was impressed by their wealth of knowledge about fitness and nutrition and also by how down to earth and approachable they are.
I started working with 180Physique to prepare for my first figure competition. They helped me with meal plans, posing, workouts and advice for the competition and I cannot say enough good things about working with them. There are so many facets to being prepared for a physique competition and so much time and work goes into prep working with someone who had knowledge and experience allowed me to get the most out of my prep.
Proper nutrition was a huge component of my success in the figure competitions and that carried over into other aspects of my life. Almost immediately after starting my meal plan I saw huge improvements in my performance at the gym, my energy levels and how my body looked. Umo spelled out my eating plans very clearly, checked up on me a lot and was always available when I had questions. I also appreciated how the nutrition methods used for show prep are scientifically based and centered on the health of the competitor.
The process of competing was hard work to say the least, but Umo and James were helpful and encouraging the entire time. All the meal plans, workouts, posing and advice paid off, because I am now an IFPA Figure Pro! I can’t wait to see where I go from here and I look forward to working with 180Physique in the future.

In January 2014, I won the title of Oklahoma’s Perfect Cheerleader Miss. I was told that my national pageant would be at Delray Beach, Florida during the end of June. I knew that I was going to need to make a change if I wanted to perform my best at nationals and I also knew it had to start in the kitchen.
One of my good friends had been doing physique prep for a bit so I asked her how she knew what to do, and that’s when she told me about Umo. I contacted 180Physique that day and was instantly impressed by Umo’s quick response and enthusiasm to help me out. I went up to see her that next week and my new journey had officially begun!
I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and switched to cheerleading after I retired from gymnastics. Even though I continued cheering during my first few years of college, I just wasn’t happy with myself. I gained weight, lost muscle, and had lost all self-esteem. Nothing really seemed to fill the void that quitting gymnastics caused until I found CrossFit.
I began taking CrossFit classes in August 2013 and absolutely fell in love with it. It is the first thing I’ve been passionate about since I quit gymnastics. Even though training every day helped me to get back on the path I wanted to be on, it still wasn’t enough. I knew my diet needed to be changed drastically and it wasn’t until my opportunity to compete in the national pageant for America’s Perfect Cheerleader that I decided to take that serious next step.
Umo sent me my first meal plan and I never looked back! Here I stand at age 22, and I am the happiest I have been since I was 15 years old. I’m confident in myself, my CrossFit performance has increased significantly, and my overall health is on the perfect path. I am beyond grateful for Umo and 180Physique because she truly changed my life for the better. I would honestly recommend her for anyone wanting to better their health, increase their fitness, or look good in a swimsuit.
Umo is easy to work with and truly cares about her clients. My journey with weight loss had always been tough. I was never a “bigger girl” or even an overweight child, but I’ve always wanted to stay in tip top shape after sports. I started out as a kid being active and playing numerous sports and with my mom being a aerobics instructor since I can remember. At one point of my life I traveled to Nevada to work in the fitness industry. With life and work I lost my virtues in my health. I tried to get the weight off on my own but was not successful. Umo Callins has got to be one of the best trainers around. Before starting to work out and change my diet and healthy living lifestyle, I weighed 158 lbs. and wore between a size 10-12. The most I’ve weighed outside of pregnancy. I have a 5 year old son who takes a lot of time and energy and I was at a point in my life where I was unable to play with him and run around with him due to my weight and overall health. I knew Umo from college and so I knew she had begun personal training and that she’s a Dietitian. So one day in March of 2013, I took a stand and I contacted Umo. I told her everything! I have been very active my whole life and am very competitive. People have always told me that I look great and should try to pursue a competition of some sort. I started asking around for suggestions on a trainer and that’s when I found out about Umo. As soon as I had my first meeting with her that’s when I decided she was going to be my trainer and I would sign up for my first physique show. I trained for nine hard weeks. Every workout was different and challenging. Not only did she train me, she made my meal plans, and taught me how to pose. There were several times I questioned if I would make it to the end, but Umo was constantly encouraging me and motivating me every time I needed it. My name is Christina, and I have been training with Umo Callins for the past eight months. I have had trainers in the past but none of them were as passionate, dedicated and driven in helping me reach my personal fitness goals as Umo Callins. On my first day of training I was a little nervous because I did not have good experiences with trainers in the past and didn’t want to have a repeat. But the minute I met Umo, I knew that she was the real deal. Not only did her body look amazing but she had a very positive and encouraging attitude during the entire work out. If she saw that I was about to give up and call it quits she was right there cheering me on telling me that I could do it. By the end of the work out I was soaked in sweat and exhausted but I felt that I conquered the workout and was ready for the next one.
Umo is very educated in creating workouts that will impact the specific areas of my body that I want to improve. When she is instructing my workouts, she shows me the correct form in which to do them and what muscles will be emphasized for the particular move. If I am having problems doing a particular move she will show me modifications instead of just skipping the move all together. One of my big problems with trainers in the past was when we are working out they would be talking to other people at the gym and not really paying any attention to me and what I was doing. Not Umo! She gave me her full attention throughout the entire workout.
Another great aspect about having Umo as a trainer is that she is a Registered Dietitian. Umo has helped me tremendously with healthy meal planning and starting on the right kind of supplements. I never knew how big of an impact a healthy diet can make on my workouts and body until I started training with Umo. She has showed me that just because it says “low fat” or “fat free” doesn’t always mean that they really are. I have learned how to look at a nutrition label and pick out what ingredients are really in it and what will end up causing me more harm than good. She has given me some great recipes that are healthy and actually taste really good. With all of her advice and guidance I have done a complete 180 with my diet and nutrition, and I am seeing results that I never thought I could have.
Since I started training with Umo back in March of 2012 I have been able to run in three 5k races, some of which have had multiple obstacles. I have shopped for pants in smaller sizes. I have more energy during the day, and my work has improved. I can finally wear a bikini at the public pool or lake proudly! All in all, Umo is the real deal when it comes to trainers. She truly cares about her clients, and always wants the best for them. I don’t think I could ever go to another trainer because she has set the bar so high for what is expected out of a trainer. I am so grateful and blessed to have her as my trainer.

My name is Allison Gray and I have trained with Umo for almost three years. During those years, I’ve become addicted to my Umo workouts and exercise in general. Before I trained with Umo, I was not a consistent exerciser. I also did not realize the nutritional benefits of eating healthy. This should be the motto of all women and men approaching their middle years and beyond. A dear friend shared this belief with me a few years ago and it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to begin a workout regime with Umo Callins, that I realized just how right she was. I admit that I was not participating in any sort of organized exercise, although I considered myself active and in good health.
Now, nearly three years later, I can honestly say I feel 100% better – stronger, fit and more confident of my health going forward. I look forward to working out and know that I’m doing something that not only is fun now, but will also benefit me in the years to come.

My journey with becoming healthy started early last year when I started group training with Umo at a local gym. I have always been active growing up, I was a competitive gymnast for 12 years and I also ran track in high school. I was fit and lived a healthy lifestyle. I weighed 97 pounds going into college and I had a lean figure. In college I would run a 5K or two each year and that was about the extent of my “healthy living”. I had just let life get the best of me. I had a baby in 2004, I also started working full time on an ambulance as a paramedic, which is a very sedentary lifestyle when you are not running calls. I have now reached the heaviest I have ever been, 125 pounds that is more than I weighed the day I delivered my son!
Umo and I had been friends in high school and ran track together. After high school we drifted apart. However, we did stay friends through Facebook. Late 2011 I began to see her posts about Camp Gladiator Boot camp. It wasn’t until February 2012 that I decided to try Camp Gladiator! I have loved every minute of the boot camps! I have finally found the motivation that I had lost and regained an active, healthy lifestyle. I have also made some amazing friends through CG.
CG and Umo’s motivation and support have really inspired me! I have reached my target weight, 115 pounds, and maintained it. In July, I decided to sign up for my first half marathon and in October I accomplished my goal. I finished in two hours, four minutes and ran the entire time! Since October I have run one more half marathon and feel like I am in the best shape I have been in a long time!
